    The rig in the video didn't look like my Prolong discharger. So I wouldn't be surprised.

    Yep, definitely a possibility, and no two bulbs are exactly the same, so the lower impedance blows up. Still, it was pretty dramatic, more like a bolted fault. (Ask me how I know.)

    My most exciting electrical event was a dead short in a 2,000 kVA transformer I was standing next to that blew all three fuses on the power pole behind me, shut down the whole factory, and set some ductwork on fire that led to an incinerator because the dampers didn't close and the incinerator heat caught the stuff in the duct on fire. Quite possibly the most exciting night of my life and the LOUDEST bang I ever heard. :eek:
