Have you notice any fuel mileage improvements with TC-W3?

    Zero.

But it's for preventative maintenance. I believe the TC-W3 is keeping the fuel pump and engine clean. I get a 1-2 MPG bump in fuel economy.

Here's the thread that started the TC-W3 craze: Been testing Oil

Ahh yes...I had forgot about this. I seem to recall some other discussions here about TC-W3 in the past.

I read through some of the thread you linked above. Looks quite interesting. I'll add this to my list of stuff to try. (y)

So what kind of TC-W3 do you use? The linked thread mentions "Pennzoil Marine® Full Synthetic Ultimate Protection". Is that what you are using?

Edit : BTW - the TC-W3 'research' thread linked above has been active for over 10 years! Seems very legit. Some really good stuff in there.

Decades ago GUNK have a quart can of engine cleaner.
You put the whole quart in the engine before changing it and let it idle for 10 minutes.
I always did 15 minutes. When I drained it, it would drain forever! It would slow down, but it
really cleaned out the engine. But you can't find that anymore. Now I use cheap transmission fluid.
It does a really good job!

I use Pennzoil's premium plus. I've also used it on a few different cars. It helped reduce oil burning on a Saturn SL2.

With the constant start/stop of the Prius engine and EGR gumming things up - a top end oil that also cleans should help...

    I'm not using it.
I'm not pouring anything into my engine that proclaims to have "Enzyme Technology".
I don't like the concept that I'm pouring something that could act like a bio-chemical catalyst, on my rubber seals.
Even though I suspect it's just advertising techno babble.

Of course my engine doesn't need it.
So it makes the choice to NOT use it easy.
But my paranoia in regards to "magical" additives, would easily make this one I would pass on.
