    I'm running Powerchute Business Edition Deluxe.

    The RootKit Revealer claimed to have found a problem with Powerchute Business Edition Deluxe, and that's when my UPS gave the shutdown beep and powered down.

    I'm unwilling to remove Powerchute Business Edition Deluxe or to run the Revealer again. I did contact APC and they claim they have to hook very deep into the OS to provide the unattended UPS monitoring and safe shutdown.

    I am using a two year old APC SmartUPS on this computer.
