I noticed it while waxing my 2015 Prius today. It only has 6,200 miles, and I had the windshield replaced about two months ago, I noticed the little knick on the top of the windshields paint in the metal but didn't think it would rust because it didn't appear to be down through the primer. Plus it's an awkward place to attempt to put touch up paint.

I called Advanced Auto Glass and told them it was rusting and they told me to bring it in Friday. What should I expect? What should I do? Is it too late to try to use touch up?

    Clean to remove rust.
Then ANY arts supply store can sell you a small fine enough brush to touch up that area.

I never use the brush that comes with the touch up paint. Usually too big.

It looks like the installer got a little overzealous when scraping out the old Butal sealer.
There are specialists out there that can do a spot repair. Ask your dealer if they know of anybody that does this kind of repair. Or, maybe Advanced Auto Glass uses such a service. I'm sure you're not the first.

Make them professionally fix it, as in it's about 250$ per panel for a repair, in this case, remove the windshield, sand, prime, paint, replace windshield, drive away, they supply the loaner.

Hoping they do not need to remove the windshield. I foresee possible issues with re-sealing. But I don't want this rust to bubble and spread either. So I'm torn. Hopefully, it can be fixed without much fuss.
