Rusty Water Under Car After Wash - 2017 Prius Prime

Recently after washing the car I'm finding rust in the rinse water underneath the car.

It appears on the driveway directly below the windshield drain vents or in other words on the ground below the engine firewall area.

• Coolant Reservoir Levels are normal
• No leaks anywhere around the engine compartment
• Been running pure EV for 90% of my summer travel with little ICE use
• Car is located in Central NY with CNY winters (and salt)

So, it seems to only occur after washing car. I'm assuming the rinse water is traveling down the windshield wiper drain directly in front of the windshield and passing over some rusted component then onto the driveway.

Anyone else with the first gen Prius Prime seeing the same issue?

Yup, exactly what I asked my Independent Mechanic to do when new front brakes were installed yesterday. Did they do it? Doubt it as they didn't say anything when I picked it up. My fault for not saying anything when I gave them the check for service. ;-(
