I have a 2017 Prius Prime Advanced. I read that as of November 1, 2022, the Safety Connect SOS button will no longer work. Is there a fix for it or do I have to go without?

Yes I do but don't know if I should renew if it will no longer work at the end of the year.

I have a 2018 Advanced and I’m paid up until late 2024. I just checked and it still had the green LED but I didn’t press the button. At the request of support I did test it a few weeks ago and it worked then. FWIW.

I pay annually though so it would be coming up for renewal by then.

The deadline is only for vesicles using 3G telematics for the Safety Connect. PP has 4G LTE. Your car is not affected by the shut down.

Yes, some folks tracked down the part number for the 2017 Prime Safety Connect module, and verified that it is 4G/LTE and thus not subject to the loss of service with the shutdown of the 3G network. No such luck for the 2012-2015 Prius Plug-In (PiP), which has 3G Safety Connect hardware.
