It means they are data driven and things have changed. The infection risk is lower so we can relax early recommendations.

If the data changes, say higher risk from a new variant, they and the smart ones adjust.

China may not be a good indicator. Read they are still working with the mindset from the beginning of the pandemic. The shut downs in response to current case increases may be be overblown for the actual threat the variant poses.

 

With China acknowledging recently their numbers are going way up, they have to decide whether to live with it or go back into total area lockdowns, à la Wuhan.

Took my elderly parents to get their 2nd booster last Sunday at Walmart. Same day appointments and walk-ins allowed. (I made the appointment same morning and selected Moderna as their 4th dose. Give the virus a different look as first three were Pfizer)....

She who must be obeyed is going in for upper GI exploratory stuff in a few days. The hospital isn't going to require vaccination - as she had covid around 3 months ago (cold-like symptoms - even tho she's got 3 co-morbidites /weight/age/lung issues). Looks like the medical industry is finally recognizing natural immunity. Some jurisdictions are likely still more stick up the butt about it tho. Still - it's lookin' better.

Seems "unjust" to me.

 

My understanding is unvaccinated COVID cases have several times higher heart problem rates. It makes sense as the same vaccine targets are also COVID attraction sites. Just the vaccine comes with a warning what to look for and treatments. The COVID virus has no such warning and depends on overworked medical staff.
