My 2008 Prius has a 2016 sat nav disc.
I've looked all over Google but can't find out if it's possible to choose the type of route (i.e. avoid motorways etc)
Is there a way to do this on a gen 2 Prius sat nav?
    Thanks

In-car navigation is antiquated and unreliable... Use a phone app if you don't want to get lost or stuck in traffic.

Waze is excellent and is always up to date. Built in car nav is dead. Move on.

    * With the exception of Tesla which is just a giant phone app for navigation...

Right! Tesla really got the phone right. It actually gets you there instead of telling you what to do :)

But every other car manufacturer has the whole infotainment thing completely wrong these days. I hope that changes soon and Tesla-like design becomes more of a standard.

One of the biggest limitations to car advancement is the crooked criminals running the cell phone companies... We'd be ten years ahead of where we are now had they not throttled "unlimited" data plans and overall cost of data was based on the true cost of data rather than robbing people every month for over-priced data plans.
