ScanGaugeII work on 2010?

    I'm in the same boat. I have the ScanGauge II but am clueless how to enter in this data to make it display Prius specific data.

    Partial success. I was able to disable the reverse beep via the XGauge codes but have not yet been able to disable the seat belt beeps. :) :(

    I need to do that seatbelt beep thing also. I forgot to ask the dealer to do that but did remember to have them set the reverse beep to a single beep. Maybe today I will install my ScanGauge as it is supposed to rain so I won't be driving it :eek:

    We know sometimes the SG-II does not tell us the correct GPH, LPH or iMPG value in the fuel-cut mode.
    The standard OBD-II PID does not have a direct fuel flow data, and those values are calculated by MAF (mass air flow) value, but the MAF is not always correct such as fuel-cut mode.

    JP Prius enthusiast team found a Gen3 passive CAN frame (CAN_ID:0x3D3:#0#1) tells us real time fuel flow data, then I wrote following X-GAUGE code for lph (liters per hour)

    Punched in the codes last night and tried it this morning. The gauge reads zero where expected. Hard to verify if the values are correct but seem reasonable. Thanks for the information!

    The second part of the MTH (divider), 0121 (lph) or 0447(gph), is the magic number to adjust the displayed values.
    I have tried every effort to match the Prius's mpg numbers, which is approx 6.5% over estimate. :(

    60mpg @ 60 mph = 1.00 gph
    Please try to find how accurate the gph values are by yourself comparing to damn standard GPH values. :)

    I finally remembered to try your gph XGauge yesterday. I monitored it while driving 60 mph yesterday afternoon and again this morning.

    With both the MPG and the gph values being instantaneous, changing rapidly and updating at different times it is difficult for me to get to a steady-state condition long enough to record useful info :)

    I did get a few points to duplicate a few times.

    60 MPH on SGII, 62 mph on display
    gph = 1.00 : mpg =57.6 once, mpg = 58.4 once
    gph = 1.20 : mpg = 48.0 multiple times

    So it appears that the gph value is reading low in the 5-10% range to the best that I can determine.

    It would be nice if someone with the ability to trend these values would monitor MPH, MPG and gph so that we can see a more stable value over some time period to get better numbers.

    Of course this is still a good indication of gph and it does indicate when the ICE starts and stops and follows the HSI once the ICE is up to temp.

    I was able to get 1.00 @ 60 once or twice but there are a lot of factors influencing that like wind and grade.

    I found the gauge very informative as a fuel cut-off. When gliding down a slight grade, I found to correlation between 9999 and 1857 mpg and the engine shutter (ignition).

    Yes, I saw 1.0 @ 60 a couple of times too but only for about 1 or maybe 2 scans. I could never get to a steady enough state to get more multiple scans.

    My biggest factor was the grade even being on the coast. The constantly rolling grade makes it difficult to reach a steady state condition.

    There is a XGAUGE that tells the fuel cut-off as I said in this post to Bob.

    In Torque terminology is 7E0 2137 O (if O<16 then fuel is on; if O>16 then fuel is off)

    In XGAUGE could be [I'm not an expert in XGAUGES coding!]

    RXD 3008 (or 3601, 3201 for the exact bit but I am not sure)

    I discussed it with Adrian Black a year ago but finally it did not go to the spreadsheet.

    I do remember that discussion. I didn't think about fuel cut-off and gliding until I ran this new gauge, then I realized the shudder was ignition (got steadier more noticeable over time). Your gauge would have made that obvious too.

    We know SG-II tells us actual speed.
    But, we don't know how accurate the SG-II iMPG number is. (I don't believe the SG-II iMPG display. :) )
    My steady state log driving 61.8 MPG @ 63.4 MPH (1.03 gph average) shows between 1.00 gph and 1.09 gph.
    Yes, the display number is not stable, but the number is reasonably accurate.
    It is important to see steady numbers that we drive flat road, steady speed (using CC is preferable) and see accurate MPG numbers.
    My MPG reference is Prius MPG number.
    I set CC speed and reset one of trip displays when Prius reaches at a target speed, then drive 10 km or so a long distance on a flat road.

    My JP Prius response from "7E0 2137" contains only 13 bytes, so the Torque parameter is A to M, there is no "O" response.

    How many response bytes have you seen from the "7E0 2137"?

    Using a terminal, the conversation with the ELM327 is as follows

    On the frame labeled 2, the last pair of non-zero digits (&H46) is what I believed is called O in Torque terminolgy [but I do not use Torque, so I may be wrong]

    In the case displayed, the decimal value of &H46 is 70. It is over 16, so injection is cut-off. In fact, at the moment of this reading, the car is in a down-slope of 4% at 80Km/h (50mph) and engine is at 1000RPM. MAF value is 3.54 and "Bank1, Sensor 2: Oxygen sensor voltage" gives us a clue that the injection is off because its value is zero.

    Decimal values I have recorded for this pair [O? in Torque] are:
    0 [standard value for injection ON with RPM<>0]
    4 [initial value with RPM=0 and "low power" injection just before cut-off]
    68 [injection OFF with ICE RPM=0]
    70 [injection OFF with ICE RPM<>0].

    The first pair of frame labeled 2 [L? in Torque], &H44=68 tells the number of 10min periods the system has been off before the actual trip.
