Screws in my Tires

    So, I found my passanger rear tire had a screw in it along the side edge and the front passanger tire had one in the top. Had to have the front one fixed and the rear one replaced. And yes, as a result, I purchased two tires so the wear would be even. So, at nearly 19,000 miles, I have two new rear tires. I have to say this car still rides like it is brand new.

    I just had a screw in my driver rear tire last month:

    Found it when the TPMS light came on as the tire was holding at 20 psi. Was able to air it up and drive it to Costco and they plugged it for free. Tires have 25k miles on them. 3rd screw I have had in my tires in the last 3 years. Mostly work caused as the trucks carrying supplies don't always have them secured properly:(. They have finally resurrected the street sweeper so it is improving(y).

    Where'd you get the new shoes at?

    I got mine at Just Tires. Been going there for 20 or so years.

    Not on this set, since they were the original tires. But the two I bought are warranteed to be plugged (if not along seam) or replaced.

    That's the perfect place to get a puncture, near the middle of tread. Every time I get a puncture, two so far with this car, it's near the edge; tire places are reluctant to repair, because the curve into sidewall has commenced, their internal repair won't seat properly.

    That tipped me to get an external plug repair kit. Both my punctures were about an inch (at most) from the tread corner, plugs have worked fine. Like the red dots:

    2011 got a screw in the lower side wall and had to replace the new EP20 with a 422Plus.

    I got 3 in one tire, probably at the same time. (Not sure where I got them at..) All were able to be plugged and I've put another 15k on it.
