I've heard of a so called secret compartment in the center console... Got curious today and looked... Found it! Lol. That's pretty sweet. I'm impressed with myself.. Like a little kid that just found a old toy.

Sit in car. Look at cupholder. Reach down, front of console, and feel for a handle. Pull. Boom. Nice.

    Well, good news-bad news-good news.

Good news - I found it with ease
Bad news - there is nothing valuable in it. In fact, there's nothing in it.
Good news - perfect place to hide my wallet and phone when I go to the gym or hockey rink...

    A billion uses and counting!

I once put a very tall, wide powerade bottle in there and pulled it closed so the bottle was snug against the front of the console. Bonus super-size cupholder. Wouldn't trust it for anything that could spill, though.

It is underneath the front cupholders in the center console, and slides out forwards toward the dashboard.

bisco... you're in the Gen II forum buddy... Your use of the term "Flying bridge" leads me to believe you have a Gen III, in which case, I doubt you'll find what you're looking for :)

I'd never heard the term before, but it seems clear that he's referring to the rather wacky Gen III center console, which has free air passing under all the important stuff. What flying buttresses are to churches, the flying bridge is to the Gen III.

I'd actually call it the only thing about the Gen III that I really don't like... no offense.

I also thought the "command center" setup was not attractive. It's the main reason I bought my gen 2 instead.

I found it within 5 minutes of sitting in mine. Without knowing it was there. I really don't get the 'secret' part...

It did take me a few years to find you can pull out the entire middle front cupholders and find a buttload of cooky crumbs in there that desperately need vaccuuming out...

I use the 'secret' compartment for Caprisuns and other drink packets for the kids.

So far everyone I've talked to didn't know it was there. You must be very observant. :). How do the cup holders come out?
