    I would say the value or decision in worth doing it would depend on the overall condition of the vehicle. Given the age, if you can find an independent shop who can rebuild it rather than buy new, that would be most cost effective. I have a contact in the Toronto area I can provide, but would require you to pull the battery and ship, so not sure if that would make sense financially. Let me know if you want his contact info.

    Fyi, my ‘06 ran for 392k KM (245k miles), for what it’s worth...
