Separate Forum for Political Discusssion-suggestion

    I'm an admin on another board, and we have a separate section for political discussions, and it seems to work out quite well. We also have a separate section for games, and that seems to be the most popular area (that's where I stole the idea for the Questions thread).

    I think it's a wonderful idea. On another board I belong to, they separate all the 'hot' topics into one place, with sub headings for religion, politics, rants...you have to sign up for them, but once you do, you can see all the posts. If you aren't part of that forums, you don't see those threads under latest posts. It works well.

    same here-- political discussions comes with one warning: flaming of others will not be tolerated- discussion and sharing is encouraged. Abusive, rude behavior, name calling, etc. will get you banned.

    that and to post on that board you HAVE to be a registered user.

    And games are always popular, seems a lot of people like to spend time on that type of forum.
