    Hi guys, busy with all sorts of good show stuff that I missed this thread!

    It is now official!
    Test drives to include
    - Rav4 EV
    - Avalon Hybrid
    - Volt
    - CODA sedan
    Chelsea Sexton to speak in the afternoon.

    Free tickets are available on the site. Go ahead an use "PRIUSCHAT" as you code for FREE tickets to the event.
    (Still need to pay your own $5 parking.)

    On top of that, if you have a cool car that you want to put in the owner's showcase, sign up as a VIP ($20) and we'll get you a bunch of cool swag and save you a spot in the Owners Showcase.

    Would love to see a huge contingency of PriusChatter's on the show floor!

    Very tempting. If this was a RAV4 forum then yeah, it's worth the drive. Last year a lot of Prius Chat mods where at the expo. Danny, TidelandPrius, Tony Schafer, Paradox just to name a few. Then there are also a few PC members too. Last year was a big deal because they debut the final version of the Plugin Prius and you get to test drive it. If you're in So Cal area, just wait for the the AltCarExpo in Santa Monica. It's free except for parking. It's bigger than GDE with lots more cars to test drive.
    RAV4 EV, Avalon Hybrid test drive and Chelsea Sexton are worth the drive but just can't get the day off.

    You are VERY fortunate to have such a huge fleet to try at AltCar Expo. I wonder if that list is final since it's odd the FEH is there. The FEH is dead.

    I thought about making the journey from Nor Cal last year, but decided against it. It's over 300 miles away for me, one way. :(

    i just spoke with the coordinator from altcar expo and they said they might have one conversion kit company at tje event thats my primary reason for wanting to go to the bay area event.

    Three of the prominent conversion kit companies will be at GDE
    Enginer (2kwh, 4kwh, 8kwh)
    Plug In Supply (4kwh, 10kwh)
    3ProngPower / Boudler Hybrid Conversions (10 kwh kit)

    I know for sure there are discounts on the kits for people who come to the show. In some cases up to $500 off.

    Why not do both? Come to the show in the morning, and then stop at Luscious once her activities start in the lat afternoon? I bet if you ask Carolyn, that's what she'd suggest you do.

    Just for the show? Hmm depends on how into this stuff you are.

    I would say it is totally worth it to meet other PC members and the mods as well as Eric and Becky. They are all pretty awesome people. Russell and Chels too!

    Carolyn and I spoke a while back. The 5 year anniversary of her shop landed on the same weekend as Green Drive Expo. You'll see an ad from her in the program, but she won't actually be there. Obviously, her own event needs to take precedence over an outside event. She promises to be back in person for GDE next year, though.

    Usually I'd be back in Wisconsin and I wouldn't have realistically been able to even make it to he party, but being this close and missing it is killing me. I have responsibilities to the guests of GDE, though. I'm sure we'll make a toast to her at dinner.

    If any of you come to the GDE and then are headed down to her shop, please let me know. I have some things I'd like taken over there for her as a gift. I'd give it to her early, but it won't be in town before Saturday.

    Personally, I think you're better off going to Alt Car Expo. It's MUCH closer for you and there are WAY more cars to test drive.
