NoPistns, what size cap does the wheel take, I can't seem to find an easy answer on this.. I have a 2011 15 inch wheel, mine are silver but I don't think that matters so much.

GOT IT.. never mind.. now to find a seller thats in the US so I don't have to wait too long

    SF Prankster:
Huge thank you for being so generous and taking us with you through the journey. You have given inspiration and courage to many of uses well to undertake some of these mods. Seems like you customized nearly every item but the frame itself. Thorough write ups, documentation and pics - thank you.

Just upgraded from a 2010 V to a 2012 pip advanced w/tech; boy do I miss the sunroof and lost storage already. Wanted a number of mods on the 2010 and one day led to the next and never proceeded beyond the window tint. Below is the list of considerations and would appreciate anyone's input. I'm not a huge mod guy, though also not afraid to give them a go.

Below is the hit list, loosely arranged by priority and cost. certain mods are just way too expensive, such as the push button shifter.

    - window tint (will be professionally installed.)
    - run power cable for iPhone (need to drill for an exit path for cable by vent.)
    - rear bumper protector (plugins seem excluded from most of the protector options.)
    - config tweaks (will likely use wireless obd2 device with Carista)
    -- single beep reverse mode
-- interior lights on when in range of key fob
-- automatic headlights (daytime 24/7, auto headlight at night)
    - mud flaps (difficult to remove rear wheels?)
    - sun visor extension (anyone know where to get?)
    - remove blue from emblems (considering custom paint per this thread)
    - swap out blue power and red warning buttons with dark buttons from 2010.
    (should be simple enough, right?)
    Maybe
    - side panel molding (protect from dings - worth it?)
    - full armrest to sit over the exposed cup holder (anyone know of options?)
    - rubber bumper guards you can install under the front and back bumpers - thoughts?
    - mirrors with built in turn signals.
    Worth It?
    - push button shifter (really expensive)

    Radio Upgrade
Generally dislike the built in nav system. Only use the radio and Bluetooth for phone. Not a subscriber to XM, Entune is 'en'barassing. Is it worth it to upgrade to a 3rd party audio system that incorporates Apple Car Kit? Or install an iPad mini? Currently just mount an iPhone when driving, and the bulk of the Entune is just ignored.

    -------

Recommended spots to purchase and lower prices?

If folks are interested in these mods, I'd be happy to post the progress (would start a new thread) even if others also shared just as a means for additional information. Would be from a novice perspective.

Any way to control tempature remotely (w/o a Toyota subscription?) anyone know of the subscription rate?

Shhhhhhh......that's supposed to be a secret... :censored:

    I'm still here.

I haven't gone full incognito yet...

Summer's are the busy time of year for work. Finished an 8k mile business trip visiting wineries on the west coast a couple of weeks ago. Then began another mini trip(2k) last week. Home for a day and off to Santa Barbara and Paso Robles for more FUN events.

    Anytime!!

Not much time in the summer to do any mods. But I did an easy one for the creature comfort factor... :p

A set of headrest pads to match the Clazzio seat covers...
    IMG_7376.JPG

You can see the contraption of pads my gf used to have on her seat for our trip.

    It had to go!!!

...all in all, just a velcro strap to hold them on...

This mod is so simple even I can do it...

    Can you say "over packaged"?

Gotta love the huge "FRAGILE" on the package containing foam headrest pads...

I wish everything I ordered from Japan came packaged as well... :p

Secure and easy installation with a velcro strap around the headrest posts.

    IMG_7375.JPG

Almost matches the width of the center panel of the Clazzio seat covers...color is very close as well...

...only real difference I notice is the perforation spacing... (y)

Those look awesome. I picked up some cheap Hong Kong "TRD" headrest pads from ebay a few weeks ago. I had them placed in the same position as yours but the pads were no where near my neck... more like the top of my shoulders. I moved the strap around the actual headrest to get the most comfortable height but now it doesn't look as cool. The passenger seat pad is currently in the trunk after my wife threw it off because she couldn't find where to position it after a coworker moved it.

    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

If you are over a certain height, the pads that strap around the headrest posts hit too low. My gf is 5'6" and she loves the new headrest pad. Fits her perfectly whether the seat is forward or reclined. For me, at 5'9", it's very close to being too low with the seat in my favored driving position. Reclined, it's perfect, with enough padding to be very comfortable.

Could you please tell me what wording you used for searching for the coolant reservoir and inverter covers? Links or websites would be even cooler.

Lexus of Concord for the radiator coolant cover and I believe either ebay or buyee.jp for the inverter cover. It's been a while.

Keywords are bolded above with 2014 pruis in the search bar.

    I sent you a PM.
