I recently picked up a 07 cheap that has had a number of issues, I have sorted through many of them and now have it up and running. I now am faced with the shift control actuator that had been removed by the previous shop in order to get the car to roll around.

I am now wanting reinstall the assembly (On a car trailer and in the cold). I have searched here and on the web, and have not come up with anything about reassembling this.

My main question.. Does the "stator" (I will call it) need to be "clocked in" in and certain way before reinstalling the cover?

Not that I'm aware of; get the basics right (mechanical linkage has to be lined up and mated properly), I think the computer will count its way to both ends of the actuator travel and learn its position that way.
