Should colleges mandate all students take a general course about climate, food, and energy?

Above is the message you quoted. I hope you now agree that nurses should not be required to learn about farming along with their other requirements to graduate. I also don't tink they should have to take a course in climate food and energy. Would you also agree to that? I'm still not sure what that course would entail, but put up UT's course in sustainabilitiy that has not prerequisites and covers these issues and the media and politics of sustainability to see if that's what is meant. I also don't want to add the requirement of finance to a nursing degree as another poster added. IMHO the curriculum in colleges are evolving and should be allowed to evolve without federal government mandates.

    Fair enough?
