So I am considering a prius to replace my 2005 avalon . Navigation is a must for me. In reading all of the bad stuff about the entune system I am thinking of getting a package 2 then putting in my own double din good quality navigation and audio system? What do you all think?

I also like leather and would consider a Prius 2 adding in after market leather heated seats and a nav!

I am curious to hear your thoughts on this.

aftermarket is the way to go.. will probably end up being cheaper AND you get exactly what you want.

The stock JBL is nothing special, aftermarket will blow it away.

I agree with all the above posts, except for the hassle factor, if you get the four you will get the "leather" and nav and The homelink mirror, power seats with lumbar, the list goes on, but the price goes up, however the hassle factor is way down, just pay and drive.

It depends on how particular you are, I did aftermarket leather and Nav and like both far better than the factory offerings. When one buys a 4 they are also probably paying for some extras that they have no interest in.

True, for me personally, I'm still thinking about adding leather to my 11, just have not gotten around to doing it, by the way, which leather did you get?

It's a year and 3 months old now and shows no signs of wear. The wrinkles are all but gone on the front seats, the rears still look like the pictures because the rear seats rarely get used.
