I was down to one light on my gas gauge it was NOT blinking so I knew I still has gas.
I put in just under 5 gallons ($10) and the gauge now reads full when it should be at about half.
Should I fill it to the top and reset the gauge?
(How do I reset the gauge?)
I don't want to run out if its reading more fuel then it really has ..
    Thanks

No Gen 2 Prius in North America has an accurate gas gauge. If you fill up 350 miles after you last filled up, you will be fine. If you always get 48 MPG, 400 miles should be fine.

When I had a Gen 2 it could be 40 to 160 miles before the first pip went away, depending on temperature.

In defense of Toyota, it really did reduce gasoline vapors quite well, but as you have noticed, at the cost of the driver's sense of security.
