    OK, so I got to the bottom of the article in the Moonie paper and what Kennedy wanted to do was get Reagan defeated in 1984.

    Umm, yeah. That's what Democrats and Republicans do to each other, right? And anyhow, it's not like he was supplying arms to a repressive Muslim theocracy or something.

    Still, it would be fun to string him up. :)

    To answer you, nope. I agree with earlier post--working with a foreign government to quell tensions is not treason. Of course, I would want to see more about the relationship you mentioned. If he gave them secrets, then sure. If all he did was work to disarm on both sides, then nope. Pretty simple, actually.
