Show me your shift knobs!

    Has anyone switched out their shift knobs? I'm not talking about the electronic shift mod, but rather a simple knob switch. If you have a non-OEM knob, post a picture!

    I'll start with this JDM RHD knob. I guess it's meant to accompany the steering wheel with black wood trim. It's triple the size of the OEM knob and completely obscures the EV mode button (not that I ever use it). I'm not sure whether I like it or not. Time will tell...

    Black and white pictures make everything look better. ;-)

    BTW, what's "Plasmacluster"? My 2013 Prius IV doesn't have that inscription. Our hazard buttons are also different, unless yours was photoshopped.

    No, they're color photos (check the red indicator on the door lock button). My interior is Misty Gray, which is pretty light in color. The 2010-11 have black power button (instead of blue) and black hazard button with red hazard symbol (instead of solid red).

    Plasmacluster is an ion air purifier found only on the 2010-11 higher trims (Four and Five). I believe they got rid of it in 2012.

    What do you guys think of this knob? I miss the "blue" color of the OEM knob. And that black wood one still hasn't grown on me.

    Can't see the front of it, but the JDM shift knob you have is also available in heat blue. It'll match your blue start button. I have a 2010, which has black start button so I no longer have any blue in the interior.

    Yes, all JDM shift knobs of that type are enlarged. Personally, I find the stock shifter laughably small now and can't go back to it.

    Can't see the front of it either, but I dislike any branding on shift knobs (including electronic shifters). Good color though.

    It's the MOMO symbol... Not a biggie.

    Not sure if it'll fit though. And I think it'll sit too high.

    Well I bought the all blue aluminum knob. I'll add some photos once installed. I've got a 7-day return so not a big loss if I don't like it.

    If all else fails, maybe try one of the electronic shifters (unless you're opposed to the idea of not being able to shift intuitively under duress like myself)?

    I love manual transmission cars and I like having something for my hand to rest upon. And having a knob is as close as I'm going to get in a Prius to the feeling of driving my old 6-speed. Pressing a silly button just doesn't do it for me. The area would look too empty.

    I was thinking of getting the stage 1o for my new Prius. Was out running errands with my wife yesterday, and her first comment was "what will you rest your hand on". As usual, she was right.

    Does anyone know the thread dimensions on the Prius shifter? Is it 8x1.25?
