Simple Plug n Play Fog Lights For C Models 1 and 2

    We had a Pontiac Vibe gt, Toyota/GM. It was a real screamer. I really can not complain about lack of hill climbing ability in this car. The engine just revs more than a normal engine does.
    There is a thread on hooking up the automatic headlight module but it is not written clear enough to follow. I got everything figured out on my own with a volt meter. Took me an hour. I still have the relay wires to hook up tomorrow. Will use my voltmeter to find the wires I need to hook up to. When I finish, I plan to write a simple "hook this wire here, hook that wire there. It can be done in 30 minutes with a writeup like that.

    That'd be amazing. I need a dummy's guide, step-by-step, (pictures if possible) to do stuff like that :p I'd really appreciate it!

    Need a little help please.

    Bought the kit off e-bay install went fine, but one issue, Fog don't turn off with the headlights, they only go off when I press the dash switch.

    I have a C 3 and followed the insturctions, only thing I didn't have a purple wire where the instructions showed to hook up orange/black to pin 18, mine was black.

    Hmmm. I bet there is a difference in the 2 and 3 wiring. I followed the instructions and mine do go on and off with the lights.

    C3, is much easier. You just need the stalk and the fog lights will plug into the existing harness. No need to wire it up like the c1/2

    Well, mine went right by the instructions. It was hard to pick the right two wires and I spent a lot of time getting them chosen. Today I went out to work on my automatic headlights and noticed my driver's side fog light has taken a rock. The glass is cracked. Had a pin hole I filled with crazy glue. Light burns. Will see how long the glass stays in. We had a fella making lexan covers for the Vibes. Wish he owned a C now.

    So your fog light housing got burned? Or what do you mean light burns?

    I didn't want to spend another $100 plus on the stalk, so I wired them up per the instructions. They work great, just wish they would go off with the lights, as I might forget to turn them off via the pushbutton switch on the dash.

    I am thinking you have wired one wrong. They should go off and on with the ligjts, only working on dim.

    What question?. All I see is the sealant question to which I don't know what to say. I did not need any sealant. They just pop in. Very straight forward by following the instructions. Hardest part is choosing the right wires to attach to. I had to blow up the picture on line to help me with it.
    Was told today a replacement glass housing is 80 bux. I found a used oem online, with housing. These are not the same lights sold by Toyota on the model 3 and 4. Dont let a rock hit them.

    Where did you find the used one? And what car is it from?

    The instructions state to use some sealant where you have to make the cut and run the wires inside the cabin.

    Ok, I got ya. I ran mine through the rubber grommett already there. HAd to cut it a little to get the heads through and hurt my fingers but I got them through.

    I got the stock fog light from ebay. Hope this stops anymore from breaking.

    I just like the bra. I know some who don't. I take it off when I wash the car so it doesn't get grit under it and scratch the paint. Cheap and replaceable, unlike my fog light glass.(y)
