Siri® Eyes Free for in my Prius 2012 doesn't work for me

I think you are right. It may also require connectivity with the car microphone using the "talk" button for the best integration. Which may not be possible on the existing Toyota system. I know our 2017 Honda allows integrated bluetooth voice commands to Siri. It does not matter if the phone's mic picks up the command but does require pushing the steering wheel talk button.

Interesting.... My Wife and Daughter are totally Apple, I am of the Android religious faith. I don't think my wife would try using Siri in the car. She has a boring commute, and only uses the phone connection for music. My Daughter is a Temple University student in North Philly, and does not own a car. With Android, I just press the "Google Assistant" button on the phone.
