Hello Prius lovers. 2008 Prius with 152,000 mi.

My Prius is making that noise as heard in the video. No codes (yet).
The guy in the video says it's the "ABS module." Reading this forum, I see someone
replaced the "Skid control ECU." On Ebay, used ABS is about $250. The "Skid control
ECU" about $95. If I never get any codes, should I just learn to live with the noise?
In the video, which part was he referring to - the $250 part or the $95 part?
I love this forum. It's better than reading the manual.

The real unbeatable combination is to read the manual, then use PriusChat to clear up whatever questions it gives you. (y)

Skid control ECU or ABS? With no codes, neither.
If it the noise at 1:14, then that is not an unusual noise – it is in fact quite normal. What maybe unusual is if the pump is cycling often.

The video is very vague about how they made the determination that the "ABS unit" was faulty. I disagree that this is the ABS unit as well. It is actually sounds like the brake accumulator pump to me.

If it was a faulty brake accumulator pump you would have codes, eventually.

If you have no codes, no need to worry until you do.
