Skipped Timing started Ticking... Tore down replaced Timing Chain ... Still Ticking ...Now What?

Before removing the camshaft bearing caps, did you kinda wiggle them to feel if there are are gaps? That's if they were firm on the camshaft and not shaking?

 

Its surprising toe if you replaced the chain, and you had this noise.

Are you sure the timing chain guides and the timing chain autotentioner are OK?

If you can't get by all these, have a professional mechanic look at it.

PS: If the chain was longer than spec, you'd have same issues
