hello all, just wanted some help on an issue with the sks system now working anymore after installing a new 12v battery and both key fob batteries. I know the 12v is charged and healthy because i tested it and it reads 13+ volts and has 345 cca. Can anyone chime in on what else might be the cause? Thanks.

What is the voltage on the key fob batteries?

Does the light on them light up and no buttons are sticking?

My volt meter is at work. You mean they may package bad batteries?

Does the fob light it’s little led red light when you push the button?

Does emergency alarm button work on both fobs?

Does the car start if you insert the fob in the fob slot under the steering wheel?

    Anything is possible ;).

Only way to know is to test and verify the voltage is around 3.3 volts:).

    Happy holidays (y).

Good question. It’s what they call them although “used” is the more correct term.

You could buy a key fob tester.

There used to be a warehouse not too far from where I live that sold rebuilt batteries. It was a warehouse type place and I did buy one but don't remember how it worked out for me.

I was fortunate to get a good used one. Not sure what they do to refurb it, but it appears they charge it and test it and make sure it has electrolyte

It’s a fvp, most likely rebranded but it has the exact rating the Toyota true start even the part number is the same it’s gray with a yellow top and fits perfect in the slot.
