Over the last day or so, my access to this site has slowed to a crawl. It can take up to a minute or more for some pages to come up. It's the same on several different computers, and browsers, so I don't think the problem is at my end. I haven't seen anyone else complaining, so it seems to be confined to only me. I'll contact the website admins to see what can be done, but in the meantime, it might be time for me to slow down as well.

I admit to being a bit hooked on this site, and I really should be making better use of my time, so I'll take this as a sign that I should be moving on, or at least curtailing my activities here somewhat.

Working as fast as ever for me on the IPhone via Safari on wifi and the full website.

Easy rider just posted he was having issues too, so might be your internet provider?

Over the last 24 hours, my access to this sight has become very slow. It can take up to a minute or more to bring up a page, and sometimes it just never appears. It's the same for me on several computers and browsers, so it doesn't seem to be caused from my end.

At first, I thought the website was going down again, but no one else was complaining, and was still able to access most pages eventually if I waited long enough. I don't know if there's some sort of user cache that can be reset, or if anything can be done at all, but I await further developments.

Thanks in advance if anyone has a solution.

Different providers also have the same effect.

Dang, I wonder what it could be then.

Danny did mention updating the servers so maybe that could be it?

Yeah, I think I'll be out for awhile, or perhaps for good. Looks like things are jimmied-up in my profile and I'm not hopeful that it will ever be fixed. I'll check back once in awhile to see if it clears up.

I can't prove that anyone had a hand in this, or did it intentionally, but I have my suspicions for several reasons.

My ISP is fine, when a page sits blank for over a minute, and takes 2 or 3 tries to bring it up, and it does that across several different machines, in different locations using different browsers and operating systems, it's obviously the website.

I'm going to wait and see what happens, and if nothing improves in the next few weeks, expect my participation to fade out. I'm not saying my good byes now, but I'll be making that decision later.

All I can say, is I don't have the same problem. So I would REALLY suspect something with your computer. Noticed any similar problems at any other sites?

We all make decisions as to how to spend our "computer" free time. And given the fact that I check in here almost every day? I'm not throwing any rocks here. You want to cut down on your participation? Go ahead. BUT...

I really think you just probably have a problem with your computer or internet connection. I wouldn't take this as a "sign" that you MUST curtail your Prius Chat participation.

In his first post Greg said: "It's the same on several different computers, and browsers..." so I don't think that could be the cause.

Greg, do you have a laptop that shows the problem, and could you take it to a library or other wifi hotspot and try accessing the forum from there?

I was going to ask if you had cleared your history/cookies on your browsers lately. Or clear out your DNS cache. Sometimes that helps.

Are the various downloads from 'the Equation group' bogging down your system? Or is their man-in-the-middle server getting severely overloaded and taking too long to properly modify the content being served to you?
    :)
