    Just my 2 cents worth, but PC seems to be faster today than yesterday and before; so, maybe whatever Danny is doing is bearing fruit.

    Yep, I've noticed that today too. Although there have been a couple of very brief times today when it was behaving badly.

    Ok, let me know if you guys see any more speed issues. Please report the information from the bottom right of the page along with your complaint or "suggestion to speed up the site" :)

    I tweaked some settings that I hope will help. :cheer2:

    It took several minutes to load a page, though it says it generated it in 4.8 seconds. The bottom right said:

    It was fast again this morning, but is slow again now.

    When I posted the above, just moments ago, it loaded faster (15 seconds???) and said:

    In trying to post it took a long time indeed. This: "Page generated in 0.22427511 seconds (75.11% PHP - 24.89% MySQL) with 15 queries"

    was at the bottom of the page during the posting, so don't know if it counts. I got kicked off during the posting, then could not even get back to the site for a couple of minutes. This happens frequently, here only.

    ~~~~~~
    Btw. The post I was posting did not post. Heh
    hmmm... ya its slow sometimes, sometimes its not....i dont know of any site, including google, that is fast all the time.
    all the sites i visit have had their dead days... i have verizon wireless cellphone service and monitor my account online (do it all online as a matter of fact) and sometimes i click on the link in my faves and get the message "website not found"... and the site ranges from normally sluggish to dead slow at times. sure 67 million customers might be part of it...
    my credit card companies especially capital one are down for site maintenance several times a week or at least it seems that way...
    heck even the foldingathome website seems to be inaccessible at least once a day...
    i think, all things considered... the size of this site, the fact that we are not backed by a major company...lets face it, the stories about garage or kitchen table startups... ya, its all here. its been almost 5 years... not a heck of a lot of time here really. its a monumental task to keep things going. software changes abound... not an easy thing to keep on top of
    its still better than some of the servers we had in the past, now some of those were REAL bad.
    PriusChat is the slowest site I use on a regular basis. It is slow or inaccessible more often, and its normal speed is slower, than any other site I use.
    However, it is not a commercial site, and it has no source of revenue other than ads and the shop, which I imagine does a lot less business than retail sites like Amazon. And it is run entirely by one person who has a full-time job and does this as a sideline.
    Considering that, it's pretty darn good. Sometimes I just have to go away and do something else and come back the next day. PriusChat is free, and I never need to read or post immediately. It's very slow from time to time, including for a few days recently, but right now seems to be zipping right along.
    Sometimes it's so slow for me, that it comes up with a error message about the site being down or something. I need to save it the next time it happens.
