Overall positive review, had this boo-boo:

"Typical of hybrids, the Prius C has two engines. One, a 1.5-liter gasoline engine, delivers 73 horsepower. The other, an electric motor, offers 60 horsepower."

It's not a boo-boo. All Prius lines have a parallel hybrid system. 1 ICE and 1 elect motor.

Not a boo-boo as to general public perception, but the propeller heads here (obviously I'm not one of them) will always point out there are actually 2 electric motors in the Toyota system, MG1 and MG2, sometimes referred to by Toyota as a generator.

Only MG2 propels the car. MG1 is for charging that traction battery. 1 ICE and 1 elect. drive motor.

Of course MG1 acts as a motor when starts the ICE and spins it when coasting at the higher speeds.

Yes, but it's not a drive motor. The parallel ICE and MG2 are the only DRIVE motors.
Yes, MG1 is a motor and it's part of the hybrid system. The article isn't getting into the system design.
It simply refers to the basic/obvious parts of the "DRIVE SYSTEMS" Most consumers wouldn't
understand it, even if it covered the rest of the system. Why bother splitting hairs over something
most people wouldn't or don't care to understand.
