Smart Key Issue

    I've noticed other San Diego owners who have posted regarding Smart Key difficulties when near the naval base or airport. I agree that interference from naval stations is the most likely cause - maybe radar, or maybe aircraft transmitters...

    I attached a TSB that provides info about Smart Key operating frequencies. The fob operates at 312-315 mHz while the vehicle operates at 134.2 kHz.

    The NATO "C" band starts at around 500 MHz.

    Of course, there could be complex sidelobe and harmonics
