Smart Key Problem, fault B27A1after body shop visit

    I'm puzzled. After getting my 2015 Prius 3 back from a body shop (replaced driver's side front fender and painted adjacent panels including driver's door) my smart key features no longer work.

    The problem is with both Fobs. The buttons on the key fobs work to lock and unlock the door. The smartkey features related to driver, passenger and hatch doors have stopped working.

    When I use Carista diagnosis app and OBD hardware, I get one detected fault: B27A1 Entry / smart key. When I use the "customize" feature of the app, it says the smartkey features for unlocking doors is enabled.

    No other smartkey features are at issue. The engine starts fine, etc.

    Any suggestions before I try to work this out with the body shop and/or my repair guy?

    check your 12 volt health before taking it back.

    First thing is to immediately call the shop and let them know. You can continue diagnosis on your own, but it's their responsibility to repair as long as you immediately report it.

    Most likely: An electrical harness was disconnected and not reattached.
