SOC after Parking

    If the car isn't fully powered on, the hybrid battery is disconnected from the systems (so the radio, windows, AC, etc are just running off the 12V battery), which would seem to imply that, in order for the SOC to drop, the car would have to be on. now, it may just be the case that they leave the car on for a short period of time (say 15 min) after they drive it away before parking it, and it's just enough to drop the SOC noticably without going too low to require the gas engine to recharge it.

    Another test you could to would be to reset the MPG indicator on the MFD shortly before arriving at the garage (so you have a MPG of like 50 over 1-2 miles). then if they leave it running enough for the gas engine to kick in, you'd see a huge drop in the MPG (infact, you could even do some math to figure out approximately how much gas was wasted)
