You could pay $11.99/mo to get the premium account for ads-free video and music. That being said, I don't usually watch a long video, so ads do not interrupt the viewing. Occasionally there are ads at the beginning which I can skip after 5 sec. But most of the time when I am just browsing YouTube, I view the entire video on the preview page without actually clicking and going to the page. There is no sound at least with my setting, but I can watch an entire video ad-free.

One of the very few subs that I have is YooTubes plus.
That, and Amazon Prime is just about it.
For me the 12 bones is worth 'store and go' and the ability to go audio only without leaving a screen on.

Frankly, before that I never noticed the ads.

Ads never bother me, since I'm a happily married biological male, and thus (according to my CFO) am quite capable of ignoring input while I'm wearing earbuds, reading, etc...
