    Need CarPlay for Prius Prime!! The existing system infotainment, especially the 11", is a disgrace. Like it was built using visual basic.

    Apple announced irregular screen size support for CarPlay at their developers conference today. Hopefully the 2020's gets a larger portion of the screen dedicated to CarPlay. If the hardware is the same we might get a software update just like certain models of the Camry/Sienna did. I have a feeling like you might need the Panasonic head-unit to upgrade to CarPlay.

    Yeah. The 11.6" HD screen is under-utilized. If we could get a fullscreen Google maps or Waze, that would be amazing. Judging by that photo, it appears (at least initially), that it'll take up just the top half of the screen. (as if it was a 7" screen).

    Guess we'll find out once people start taking delivery.

    Is there any update to the CarPlay support for 2017-2019 Prime with the 11 inch screen?
