Sorry: I don't understand why my last thread was deleted

    Yesterday, I posted a thread with a map of the US. It was the kind of map hkmp likes. Each state had the name of a country that has a GNP that matches that state.......California=Brazil, Texas=Australia, etc.

    I'm at a loss to understand why the thread was deleted. This is not the first time it's happened.

    If the thread was on a highly political topic such as gun control or the usual things that send a thread to Fred's House of Politics, I would easily get that. Just don't see how that thread was inflammatory. Deleted. No explanation. I'm supposed to have psychic powers that scream at me: "Chuck: YOU WERE NAUGHTY!!!" Sorry, I'm not psychic.

    Deleting without explanation for content that's not patently offensive and probably not even mildly objectionable does not encourage members to participate. I know there are a few members that enjoy flaming in general, esp on a handful of hot topics, but why do the rest of us have to watch what we post, if there is very mild content that could get them started? Seems like the best thing is to address the members that constantly heat up threads.

    Regardless of what the subject was, deletion without any notice seems draconian. Maybe just a screw up?

    Chuck and I have communicated via PM so I am closing this thread. Though minor, the post was a bit political and would have gotten more political. Instead of being moved to FHoPol it was accidentally soft deleted (by me yesterday, fat fingers, small cell phone screen :oops:) so after seeing this I contacted Chuck and undeleted it and moved it to FHoPol. No harm, no foul.
