Is there a way to open a new window whenever I click on a link in a thread? I tried to check the setting in my preferences but nothing mentioned about this.

I've been reading a lot on this forum as I am new to this forum and after clicking on so many links, I kept losing track of my original thread, lol....

    thx

It's usually in your browser settings, or you can right click on the link and select Open in New Window/Tab.

If you are on a mobile app, then long press on the link and select Open in New Window/Tab.

I first thought it was the browser's setting so I test opened my yahoo mail and click on a link, it opened another window. All other web sites I am on, always open new window. I'll just have to remember to right click on the link next time.

    Thx

What browser are you using? Every modern browser I know of supports tabs, middle clicking (clicking the scroll wheel on the mouse) will open a link in a new tab. If you're using a laptop, some have features like tapping with 2 or 3 fingers to simulate the middle click.

It's not just you. Links can be set to use the current tab or open a new one. I try to remember to set links on my pages to open in new tabs. Personally, I always right click & select open in new tab.

The method that works for me is holding CTRL before I left click on the link so that it opens in a new tab.

Hmm...I have never had to do any thing beside just clicking, and the link would take me to the site in a new tab. This is the first time i ran into this issue with this web site.

I think you can configure your browser to do that by default. Check the preferences/options.

You meant check the preferences/options on this Priuschat.com? With the same browser, I don't have this problem with other web sites.

No the preferences/options in your browser's Settings.

It's working now, not sure why. I didn't do any settings but it seemed I'd had Chrome updated and it started to show the 8 thumb nails of my last visits. I followed the instruction from some web site to get rid of the thumb nails and now the links work as expected.

    Thx
