These are the spark plugs from my 2010 Prius, it has 104K miles when I replaced them, and still in OK condition. The original spark plugs are Denso SC20HR11, I replaced with DensSC16HR11

Any reason for replacing them before 120 k miles rolled up?

No, I just want to do all major maintenance in one shot: spark plugs, inverter coolant, engine coolant, brake fluid flushing and throttle cleaning.

You missed the egr circuit cleaning;).

But that’s not in the owners manual .

    Another item to consider (y).

Do you have a wire gauge set so that you can assess the gap size of the used plugs?

I checked the gap is 1.05 mm, I guess the carbon build up cause the gap a bit smaller

Oh it’s more than the pipe ;).

Intake manifold, egr valve and egr cooler. Best to pair with an engine coolant change and when the windshield wiper cowling is removed (like wen doing the spark plugs):).

The pipe will give you insight into the situation and state of affairs though(y).

I'm waiting for Toyota to issue a recall to clean the EGR circuit because of all the head gasket failures.....and they better hurry as I'm approaching 110k miles

    You’re going to wait:whistle:?

Just don’t wait too long or you'll be one of those in the wake;).

How much oil is the early Gen3 consuming?

I cleaned the EGR pipe around 100k miles to buy extra time. Oil burning is around 1 qt every 2500 or so miles. More if it's driven at high speeds

TSB would be issued, I dont think a recall would be issued. A lot of factors could be the cause for head gasket failures.

TSB would make it owners responsibility....

Next oil change will be 5w-30. I had a stock of 0w-20 that my gen2 can't use

TSB would make the owner responsible, the car is over 100k miles.

Go to 0W-40 weight. It's doing wonders on another vehicle that was burning oil.

Surely this will be a lawsuit in the making for the people that already have failures
