Spec-D Smoke Tails on WGM Prius Plus!

    Hey guys. Just picked up my Prius a few days ago, but I've already jumped into the modding game. :p

    I was up in LA yesterday parting out my previous car, a G37, so I decided to stop by Rodney's and check out the smoke full LED tail lights he was selling. I liked the look and took them back home to San Diego and installed them this morning. The results were far better than expected!

    They look pretty good, I prefer the other red ones that look more OEM than the real OEM tho...
    with that said, i have to say that your car looks really nice with those.

    Smoke looks great on WGM. You should post more photos of your PLUS Prius.

    Your's looks like mine! VERY sharp color combo! It's the Plus Performance Package?? It's the only thing the dealer's in Oregon said I couldn't get, with the Color and ATP. Bummer for me. It looks like there's a separation in the seams under the gas cap... Did you do this while installing the light kit? I'm really jealous if you got the performance package... good job!!

    Thanks for the comments, everyone! I'll post more photos later, I'm a little busy with moving arrangements today.

    Yep, it's the Plus package... it's probably a little easier for dealers to get stuff like that down here since socal is pretty much the home of the Prius. Truth be told I wanted Blizzard White but I like this color more every day. The second photo has the bumper cover loosened because there is a clip in the tail lights that fits under it. I guess it's in case your tail lights completely fall off, at least the bumper will keep them from flying down the freeway? Not too sure. It's snapped in place for the third picture, the lighting is just a bit strange.


    You know, I thought about those and decided to take a chance that the smoke would look better specifically with the WGM paint, and I think it paid off. ;)

    The retainer clip is actually essential for proper installation. If you try to install them without this clip, they don't fit right and there's too much play.

    It's removable on the OEM taillight.

    Damn I have WGM Envy !!! I am really happy to see that the Smoke Tails came out awesome for your Prius !!! They really match well together !!!

    It was great to meet you last week, congratulations on selling your G !!!

    We'll have to get together soon to figure out some more exciting plans in store for our Prii !!!
