Is it possible to special order a 2010 IV with the solar roof package, but without the navigation option? Thanks.

I think navigation is an automatic part of the solar package.

Nope, part of a package and the packages cannot be broken up.

I personally believe ppl order a solar roof is a waste of $$ because as soon as you get in your car, turn the A/C on..it will cool you down in a minute or two as the air is blowing directly to your body.

I wouldn't necesarrily be willing to pay a Lot of extra cash for just the solar option, but I had to have the Moon Roof, and have found the solar option to be very effective for use on medium warm days. For example, if it is 80-85 degrees outside and a car without Solar Roof would be 95-100 inside, you can get into a car that is only a couple degrees warmer than outside (81-86) and be comfortable imediately and beyond without need to use the AC at all. That may save a little feul at low speeds, even with the windows open, or at least break even and give you fresh air.

If you live somewhere without fresh air outside, then your point may be more valid.

Thanks for the replies. The reason for the roof option is my wife's darn dog. She always worries when we leave the dog in the car- cracking windows, how wide, how hot, etc. She thinks that someone might steal the pooper! If the option came separately, I might consider it just to keep her quiet. I'm old enough that a map still works fine.

For those who say the solar is a waste of $$, you need to come to Houston in the middle of August ! For the one who leaves his dog in the car--not even an option down here ! The ac is not going to cool your car for at least 5-7 minutes and that 5-7 minutes is very uncomfortable. I am very intrigued by solar panel and will buy a 2010 w/in the next 60 days or so with a solar panel .
