I just got a new 2006 and the spoiler shakes when I close the hatch. Is there a way to get in there and tighten things down/make sure I'm not missing some bolts?

Your post is a little confusing. You are in the Gen III forum. Gen III began with the 2010 model year.

I have a 2010 that I bought new. The spoiler eventually became somewhat loose and there was a rattle from the area. It turned out that one of nuts had unscrewed completely off the bolt and was loose inside the hatch. There is a video on how to pull off the interior window shrouding and get at the spoiler bolts to tighten them. That fixed the problem for me.

Here is a link to a previous post of mine about this. It includes the youtube video:

If you bought a used 2006 (new to you), the procedure should be similar

FYI, many people have the bad habit of grabbing hold of the spoiler when closing the hatch. The slamming down while holding onto the edge of the spoiler puts stress on the spoiler mounting hardware.

It's got a new battery, leather, NAv, JBL, new HID at 150k miles, but it seems like it has been through a lot!
