It was a new Gen III. Teenage son fender-bendered it ~3yrs later which resulted in a total which led to the 2010 model.

A prius of her own transformed my daughter from a lead foot into a "no fast accelerations into the red zone" driver. My 22 yr old son couldn't stand seeing the MPG going down on his 100 mile drive, so he moved to the right hand lane and drove 65 on a 75 mph interstate. The Prius can tame aggressive driving in many cases.

This rendering below would've been my choice for a 4th gen Prius... perhaps there's still hope in that it'll be the 5th gen Prius! (y)

Well, at least they didn't frg it up. It's still recognizable Prius with aerodynamic shape and a huge hatch. I'll wait for the specs.

Gen 4 is longer than both Gen 2 and Gen 3, but has (i) the same wheelbase as Gen 2 and Gen 3, and (ii) the the same height as Gen 2.

The next generation Prius will, reportedly be:
    4,550 mm long (+70 mm),
    1,770 mm (+25 mm) wide
    1,490 mm tall
    wheelbase of 2,700 mm.

2013 XLE Hybrid. All the options except for the better Navi system. Its called display Navi, I wish it had the upgrade, more like my Navi system in my Priu
    s. It's comfortable, quiet and no sensation of speed. On the mpg gauge, it gives you average mpg and a LED curved line that gives you instant mpg. Plus, you can leave everything to the computer, ECO mode feels slower and throttle has less aggressive, and finally full EV mode. Its all electric to 25mph or excessive acceleration or battery level low. It's a great car, feels like a Super Prius. It is smooth and has gusto. Very easy to lay rubber or almost equal Prius economy.

    Goszuki,

I completely agree with you assessment.
I especially like the head lights and tail lights (above), which I find most objectionable on the G4 photo we have seen thus far.
I also like the peak of the roof appears to be further back. The G4 picture seems to reveal it moved forward al la G2. (I could be wrong, will wait to see the G4 in person.
Finally, I really dislike what everyone is calling the "floating roof."

Question: You would think that more pictures would appear of the red and blue G4. There appears to be numerous people standing around talking at both. Anyone seen any?

I like the instrumentation, but not necessarily the asymmetric lines or curves of the dashboard.
