Squeaky sound from 06 toyota prius.

    Squeaky noise coming from my driver side tire well area in 06 toyota prius. There's 148k miles on the car. I replaced the tires 5k miles ago, and I bought the car at 110k and haven't replaced brakes yet. Sorry the video quality isn't the greatest, you may have to turn your volume up all the way to hear it. The sound happens while turning in either direction and going straight, the only time it stops is when I brake and slow down. Does anyone know what could be causing this noise? Any help is appreciated. :)

    Just get hear any noise. It isn't audible enough! Maybe you take it to a dealer, if you can't make the video noise more audible.

    From the faint sound i'm hearing sounds like maybe your brake backing plate is scrapping the rotor. I recently had a similar issue caused by snow build up in the wheel well which ever so slightly bent the plate inwards.

    You need to jack the car up and inspect your front brakes and see if you can reproduce the sound with the car jacked up but be careful.
    Could also be a wheel bearing or a CV joint.
