Pretty much mirrors my experience with Enterprise too.
I lost interest midway through the first season (early 2002)- just not compelling enough to keep watching. A few years ago- after reading some posts about how the series "found it's legs" in season three and four- I was curious and watched both. Glad I did- because both season three and season four were very enjoyable. Not to mention the fact that Enterprise is the only Trek series to be filmed in native 16x9 AR and broadcast in HD- so it still looks current.
Good thing is- if you want to give Enterprise a go- you don't need to suffer through season one and two- just watch the last episode of season two "The Expanse" (which sets up the complete season three story arc) and go right to season three...

Thanks to Timeline Photos | Facebook, I found out about a trailer that's out for Star Trek "2" (or whatever): Into the Darkness.

At least we get to see more than 3 frames this time. You may want to click on the down arrow/triangle so that you can view in 720p/a larger size.

    goes well with
    :D

Hilarious! I guess that's a contrast to Nimoy. I remember he's said something along the lines of people on the street running after him yelling "Spock!"

No response!?!?? Who's going to see it opening day or opening weekend? (raises hand) From the trailers and posters, it sure looks like Kirk's Enterprise is going to get really trashed.

Anyone going in uniform or otherwise dressed up? I don't have a uniform or costume... :/ Maybe I order one or something.

I can't get in to that trailer.

But everything I've seen so far looks very good. I can't wait.

My daughter is keen to go - she loves TNG and Voyager - but I think she's probably a bit young for the film (she's 5). So I will selflessly take the afternoon off work and go and watch it by myself the day it comes out (hopefully in Imax) to see whether it's OK for her. But I don't think I'll be dressing up for it.

    Ah, lovely. Thank you.

It comes out on May 9 at my local IMAX. If I'm not in Chongqing that day, I'll be there.

Also, we have a higher quality of life, better healthcare and nicer weather (although we do have a far higher cost of living). But getting Star Trek first is definitely the best thing about living here.

Looks like we get it in IMAX on the 9th and on general release on the 16th, and you get it on the 17th (which is our 18th).

And Britain gets it first! On May 2!

I promise I won't tell you what happens if I see it before it comes out in America.

Wth??!?! I hadn't been keeping up the release dates and figured it'd be May 17th all around the world w/those reaching the 17th earliest (e.g. in Australia and Asia) getting it first. Ugh!
