    1st gen agm were supplied mainly to satisfy the nedc test. We are on second generation batteries now. The battery makers informed the OEMs, and the oems chose batteries that would do well on the tests. There are certainly more expensive batteries that last a long time, I believe these are the batteries ford is using on their system in the US.
    I don't like those check boxes. I don't know if some may choose the lowest priced batteries. There is the new hybrid lithium/ lead acid dual battery in a case.
