On the legal note...I went with some IR, UV and heat reducing tint. 70 on the front, 60 on the back and hatch. The IR reduction is really noticeable. The sun pounds me from the side and I can't feel it anymore. I am really happy with it. night and day difference as far as blocking the suns non visible rays.

I don't think I would put anything on my pip that opens a good part of the population to hate me ... Or vandalize my ride.

I found the magnet yesterday in my parent's garage and placed it on the car for the photo  - it's from the '08 election, and is perfectly cut to fit over the gas door panel - I like the contrast of both (i) the red, white, and blue of the magnet along with (ii) the green of the carpool sticker against the classic silver.

I am thankful that we all have differences of opinions - it's what makes the world interesting. However, as you caution, I do not wish for my Prius to take the brunt of anyone who may feel otherwise, so the magnet is now stuck on my refrigerator, and the refrigerator is safe at home! ;)

IR, UV and heat reducing tint

Did you do the tint by yourself? or paid somebody to do it? How dark? In MA, Tint Must allow more than 35% of light in.

Does Toyota have touch-up paint for classic silver? I got a scratch and would like to touch it up. Someone mentioned in other threads that Toyota does not have the touch-up paint for classic silver.

My local dealer had Classic Silver touch up, but I found it at Autozone cheaper and better. They have a touch up pen and think it was only $7.95. Easy to use and it was an exact match. The color code is 1F7.

I'm jealous as well with all your HIDs. I just have not had the confidence to install them even after watching the video. Any shops you guys can recommend in southern cal?

Wow - $79 for that interior lighting kit - a bit pricey! Any cheaper alternatives out there? I'm mostly interested in the parking lights actually, don't really care about the interior lights too much...

I think XenonSupply will actually do a free install for you if you buy the lights from them. Check their website for details - I saw it there a few months ago. Also, they are located in Southern California (somewhat close to downtown I think?)
