Starting problems

    I accidentally crossed the positive and negative while jumping my Prius. Replaced fusible link. Car will start but then shuts down

    Which fusible link the big 100 amp one under clear plastic in the fuse box?

    Yes also replaced dome fuse. Electric engine starts, but I dont think gas engine is starting.

    does the ready light come on? is there movement in the inverter reservoir?

    Ready light comes on.I dont know what the inverter reservior is.

    the owners manual shows it. it is up against the bulkhead under the hood. make the car ready, unscrew the cap and see if there is any movement in the fluid.

    try disconnecting the 12v negative for a minute, then press the start button 3 times with your foot on the brake.
