    yes a tach would create confusion more than anything and besides, when you dont have to shift, why do you need to know the rpms anyway?

    it would be interesting to see the RPM's when you are on cruise control going uphill, my engine roars like a tiger when the cc is set at 140 km/hr !
    I wonder if there is a safety trigger, on my previous car I could at least see when I exceeded the maximum RPM and slow down but the Prius keeps going overtaking most other cars.... :lol:

    The computer will not allow your engine to rev too high. Are you sure you are not hearing the whine of MG2?
