recently installed a new Sony XAV - 64 BT in my '11 Prius 111

loved the bluetooth in my BMW so had to have in the P111
problem is this is the 2nd attempt at using a steering wheel adapter to use the stock P111
    steering wheel controls.
previously had a Soundstream vR-652NB with exact same trouble...the adapter was iffy at best
and ultimately the installer gave up with frustration
otherwise...NO problems with my steering wheel controls...

I MISS MY STEERING WHEEL CONTROLS of the radio !!

has anyone had any similar experiences or have an ideas as to why this happens.

not sure of the exact adapter...but I'm told was a universal one..that the installer had "in stock"

    anyhoo...thanx much !!

i think you posted in the C section not the regular prii section.

i think most people use pac-swi controls and dont have a problem.

As of now, *the* go-to steering wheel controls adapter is the Axxess ASWC-1.

Definitely check it out, the ASWC is way easier to program than the PAC units. Also make sure you get the ASWC-1 and not the ASWC; both have upgradable firmware, but the -1 uses a microUSB port to connect to a PC whereas the original ASWC needs a USB-to-serial adapter cable with a specific chipset.

    Good luck!
