So far as I know, all the companies offering plug in conversions and parts have folded.

There’s a plug in supply (PIS) kit for sale in the for sale section;).

If you’re going to perform the conversion yourself, why do you need instructions (n)?

Good luck with your project (y).

I don't know exactly how to & what I need. I'm thinking of using a lot of 12v lead acid batteries. That's really all I know. I don't know what else I need and which one exactly. The kits are too expensive

The biggest hurdle you’ll have to consider is how to integrate your power supply into the Prius ECU’s and how you'll monitor the parameters.

While I’m not an electrical expert, I think it would almost be easier to buy a used Leaf or another transaxle for your Prius. Less things to consider.

It’s cheaper to buy a working EV
    ($4000 on up)
    Than to convert one.

only one person here has ever converted a prius to a plug in without a kit, and he was a certified genius.

sorry, but it can't be done. don't feel bad though, the question gets asked almost weekly by one newbie or another. it's a nice thought.

    Step 1: Sell prius
Step 2: Search CarMax for nice Plug In Prius (PIP) that's had a conversion done by some of the best engineers in the world.
