Strange Noise from A/C Fans - Is it normal?

    The compressor is variable speed/power. Highly variable, from under 250 watts at lowest load to a couple thousand or more when the cooling load is highest.

    At low loads it is rather quiet. At high cooling load, it sounds a bit like a distant Cessna.

    The point is, if you replaced it because maybe you hadn't heard it really working before, the whole exercise may have been unnecessary.

    As to the current issue, I don't have anything specific to suggest, other than to go back very carefully over all of the disturbances you made during that rather invasive surgery.
